Marcel van den Berg

Marcel van den Berg (Alphen aan de Rijn, Netherlands, 1978) is a multidisciplinary artist influenced by sociocultural realities, the roots of which lie in the Netherlands and the Caribbean.
He unites these two cultural spheres in an organic way in his work, creating a language that is based on equality and curiosity. His work radiates a raw energy reminiscent of old-school abstract expressionism, but also graffiti and street culture. Van den Berg obtained his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
