    Netwerkmuseum

    A network museum

The Amsterdam Museum is a network museum. This means that we are visible and give presentations at multiple locations throughout the city, together with our partners.

Our main location, the Burgerweeshuis in the city center, is currently undergoing renovation and is therefore closed. Our temporary main location, at Amstel 51, will be closed as of December 2025.

    Permanent locations
Two of our locations are permanently open: at Amsterdam in Motion in Cultuurdorp Westergas, we tell the story of Amsterdam through the world's largest multimedia model of a city and the accompanying in-depth exhibition.

In the Willet-Holthuysen House on Herengracht, we show how the couple Abraham and Louisa Willet-Holthuysen lived in their historic canal house. Their story is regularly placed in context with contemporary exhibitions.
