
Daan Wesselman is a lecturer in Literary and Cultural Analysis at the University of Amsterdam. His research tries to find common ground between the humanities and urban studies. His current work focuses on social housing, the aesthetics of gentrification, and the politics of everyday urban life. His publications include the monograph Reflecting on the City Through Literature: Urban Spaces, Differences and Embodiments (Routledge, 2023) and the co-edited volume Heterotopia and Globalisation in the Twenty-First Century (Routledge, 2020).
