Yusef received her Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts from St. Joost Academy in Den Bosch and, during a semester at the International Academy of Art Palestine (IAAP) in Ramallah, became devoted to researching her family history and the Palestinian diaspora. Although her vibrantly hued work is light and playful, she poses critical questions about topics such as homeland and displacement, identity and socio-geographic power relations.
