Our museum connects residents and visitors with each other and with the city by presenting, collecting, and sharing Amsterdam objects and stories.
Thanks to the support of individuals, companies, and funds that care deeply about the museum, our ambitions are becoming reality. Several projects have already been realized that preserve, showcase, and pass on stories. And we are working together on the construction and renovation of the new Amsterdam Museum - the former Burgerweeshuis on the Kalverstraat.

The main location is currently closed. However, we expect to reopen our doors in 2029, together with the admirers of our city, in a festive celebration.
