Ode to Marian Genet.

Marian is an Amsterdam artist who transforms stories of Amsterdam residents into beautiful, colorful, tufted works of art. She gives Amsterdammers who don't quite fit the picture and live on the frayed edges a ray of hope. She does this by giving them attention, living through their stories and rendering them in color; just as colorful as their stories are. She feels the connection. Her own story is also a “struggle for life” because of her chronic illness. But she always remains positive.
