On this special day a ray of sunshine falls on your grave, with a smile to honor you in your cold grave. Joy therefore and no mourning. That is why we like to come to it.

About

Ode to Saskia van Uylenburgh by Jan Laggen.

Every year on March 9 at 8:30 in the morning, a ray of sunlight falls on Saskia van Uylenburgh's grave in the Oude Kerk. In cooperation with the Amsterdam Museum, people could write odes during the Saskia breakfast to Saskia and other Amsterdam women who mean something to them.
