A woman invisible in her time is put in the full light once a year. One of the few women of her time who is allowed to come to the forefront annually, literally be put in the spotlight. A woman who speaks to the imagination in her own right.

Ode to Saskia van Uylenburgh by Janneke Maas
Every year on March 9 at 8:30 in the morning, a ray of sunlight falls on Saskia van Uylenburgh's grave in the Oude Kerk. In cooperation with the Amsterdam Museum, people could write odes to Saskia and other Amsterdam women who mean something to them during the Saskia Breakfast.

Saskia van Uylenburgh
Saskia Uylenburgh (1612 – 1642) was de vrouw van de schilder Rembrandt van Rijn. Ze kreeg vier kinderen, van wie alleen Titus in leven bleef. Rembrandt is niet meer hertrouwd na de dood van Saskia.
