Dear Saskia,

In the year 2000, a baby girl was born. She was..... named Saskia, just like you! Extraordinarily enough, a her birthday was March 9, 2000. And on that day a Saskia breakfast is always organized to celebrate your life as well. When Saskia was born it was already said: 'she knows what she wants' and that is still her motto even today on her 25th birthday.

Period

1612– 1642

About

Ode to Saskia van Uylenburgh by Nancy de Klerck.

Every year on March 9 at 8:30 in the morning, a ray of sunlight falls on Saskia van Uylenburgh's grave in the Oude Kerk. In cooperation with the Amsterdam Museum, people could write odes during the Saskia breakfast to Saskia and other Amsterdam women who mean something to them.
