Walk and Talk by the Curators

This year the 10th edition of Amsterdam Art Week takes place from May 11 to 15. This festive event is your chance to discover what the Amsterdam Art scene has to offer. During the AAW, the Amsterdam Museum offers four unique programs, one of them being the Walk and Talk by the Curators which will take place on the 14th of May. In this Walk and Talk, curators Imara Limon and Inez Blanca van der Scheer will give their vision on the transhistorical and decolonizing presentations in the Amsterdam Museum.

This event is in Dutch.

Focus on the collection

Curators Imara Limon and Inez Blanca van der Scheer will give their vision on the transhistorical and decolonizing presentations in the Amsterdam Museum and the meaning of the works by Raquel van Haver, Iris Kensmil, Natasja and Iris Kensmil, Brian Elstak, Kathe Burkhart, Hans Broek, Iswanto Hartono, David Bade and Tirzo Martha, among others.

Due to the renovation of its main location on the Kalverstraat, the Amsterdam Museum opened the doors of its new temporary location on the Amstel on March 9. The experimental collection presentation (designed by Studio LA) and the three temporary exhibitions demonstrate the museum's ambitions to look openly at the city, its inhabitants and its history, and to constantly find new forms for this. The program focuses on the museum's glorious collection; with a focus on co-creation, contemporary makers and decolonization.
