This wish for the future was submitted as part of the Refresh Amsterdam #3 – Imagine the Future project, marking the 750th anniversary of Amsterdam.
The Netherlands must offer residents of disadvantaged neighborhoods a future in the place they call home. In my neighborhood in Amsterdam North, one (social) neighborhood after another is being demolished or sold off. This is tearing apart the social cohesion that has developed over decades into a safe network. The result is an exclusive city of loneliness.
